YEP! Youth Engagement Project
YEP! Is the Youth Engagement Project for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly supporting Young People to take their next steps towards employment, education or training.
This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cornwall Council is responsible for managing projects funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund through the Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Good Growth Programme
We can support young people with care experience who are:
- Age 16-24
- Lived in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly
- Not in employment, education or training
- Struggling in education age 16+
At Carefree Cornwall, we have two excellent CIAG Key Workers, Liam and Rob, who will meet with the young people, spend time getting to know them and provide careers information, advice and guidance, and much more depending on the young person’s individual needs. While this work is mainly 1:1, we also offer some small group sessions, accreditation, workplace skills and taster sessions.
Our Key Workers will help the young person decide what they would like to do and then help them access this. The programme will help build confidence, resilience and competence and help care experienced young people to have a good life.
Please contact the Carefree Office (01209 204333) for referrals to this project.
We are here to help YEP!
