Youth Worker (with lived experience)
Are you able to build positive relationships and support others to have their voices heard? Have you had your own experience in care, and want to use this to improve lives of others?
Carefree are looking for a motivated and outgoing individual with care experience to join our Youth Work team, to provide support to young people aged 11-25 who are in or leaving care. We are looking for someone who can engage young people in group work and support them to build positive relationships with others. A commitment to young people and a willingness to learn is more important than experience and qualifications, as training and support will be provided.
The post will be based at Carefree’s offices in Redruth, with youth work delivery taking place across Cornwall. This post is for 37.5 hours per week.
Carefree offers great terms and conditions and a friendly team to work with. Salary will be between £24,049 and £25,731 pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience. Pension contributions at up to 6% of salary.

Support Worker- Separated Children Seeking Asylum
Carefree are recruiting a Specialist Support Worker to work with Separated Children Seeking Asylum in Cornwall.
We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual who wants to make a difference to young people coming to settle in Cornwall. The person will need to have the skills and abilities to build relationships and provide practical support to young people on their caseload.
This post is for 37.5 hours per week and will ideally be based at Chy Trevail, Bodmin, however for the right candidate, this could be based at Carefree’s office in Redruth. There is also the option to work at home for some of the time, with visits taking place across Cornwall. There may also be some out of county travel to Home Office locations required as part of this role.
