What do you do at Carefree?

I’m a Support Youth Worker at Carefree.

What do you like about working at Carefree?

Everyone is super lovely here! It’s a very supportive environment here with lots to do and look forward to! I also love working with young people and seeing their journey, development and progress, while having a fun time!

Can you say a bit about your past experience and qualifications?

I have a BA Hons in History from the University of Exeter and I am a qualified history teacher! My first job was at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall as a Learning Assistant doing arts and crafts with primary schools and families, and I then moved into cover supervising at a secondary school. While there I ran Mindfulness Clubs and tutor programmes, and did as much training and research into Mental Health Support and Mindfulness Strategies as possible!

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I love reading, meditating, going to yoga and doing mindful activities! I often take trips to ancient historical sites and research them! I love museums and going for walks in the woods, gardens or the beach!
