Carefree are recruiting Specialist Support Workers to work with Separated Children Seeking Asylum in Cornwall for 12 months.
We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual who wants to make a difference to young people coming to settle in Cornwall. Candidates will need to have the skills and abilities to build relationships and provide practical support to young people on their caseload.
The posts are to cover maternity leave for a period of 12 months with a view to a permanent post being offered to the right candidate if one becomes available. The contract is for 37.5 hours per week and will be based at Carefree’s Office in Redruth or Chy Trevail, Bodmin. There is also the option to work at home for some of the time with visits taking place across Cornwall. A full driving licence and access to a car will be essential for this role.
Carefree offers great terms and conditions and a friendly team to work with. Salary will be between £27,666 and £30,599 pro rata, depending on experience. Pension contributions are matched at up to 6% of salary.

Carefree is recruiting Casual Sessional Youth Workers
We are looking for Casual Youth Workers to provide overnight support during the delivery of residential programmes to young people.
The posts will be based at various locations across Cornwall so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential. The successful applicants will be employed on a casual sessional basis and will be required to complete a DBS check.
