What do you do at Carefree?

I work alongside the Lead Youth Workers to plan, organise and oversee  programmes that we deliver. We mainly work directly with young people in and leaving care, supporting them to build on life skills, develop healthy relationships and influence positive change for themselves and their Local Authority. What do you like about working at Carefree?

What I like most about working at Carefree is the passion and willingness to go the extra mile for our service users – there is a strong and endless commitment by every individual at Carefree.

I too, find it a pleasure to see young people develop and reach their full potential throughout their journey at Carefree, and alongside, I appreciate the opportunity to gain endless of experience and wisdom from the young people that I work with.

Can you say a bit about your past experience and qualifications?

I have only ever worked in the hospitality industry before beginning my career in Youth Work, I have now completed my NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Youth Work Practice and I am really keen to explore a more specialised subject which involves psychology and sociology.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I generally just enjoy spending time outdoors. With that being said, most of the time you will find me at the beach – along with a hot brew, snacking on some raspberry dark chocolate from Lidl, surrounded by a pack of dogs – big fan!
