Carefree Choir: Lowender Peran
In October, the Carefree Choir performed six beautiful songs in Redruth Town Centre for Lowender Peran, a celebration of Cornwall’s cultural heritage and Celtic connections. Led by Annie Sheen, six young people and two members of staff practiced over five weeks in preparation for the event learning a variety of songs from across the world.
These included:
- Someone you Loved, written by Lewis Capaldi
- Cornwall My Home, written by Harry Glasson and performed by the likes of Fisherman’s Friends and Will Keating
- Nanuma, a traditional Ghanaian greeting song
- A song written by one of the young people, Molly.
